Dream
The Amaia is a boutique hotel in Mexico built on values that run deep, celebrating Mexican culture, honoring sustainability, and creating a space for rest, healing, and connection. Women-led and community-rooted, they wanted a brand that felt just as intentional as the space itself: vibrant, grounded, soulful, and proudly local.

Challenge
The vision was clear, but the translation into design had to be handled with care. How do you bottle up culture without flattening it? How do you create something bold but not loud, artisan-inspired but still elevated? We needed to find that sweet spot between handcrafted and refined, expressive and calm.

Breakthrough
We built the brand around texture, color, and symbolism, pulling from indigenous textiles, local architecture, and natural materials. Lively Mexican hues gave the visuals energy, while raw patterns and earth-toned textures brought it back to its roots. Every detail, from the typography to the pattern work, was chosen to reflect the hotel's core values: wellness, sustainability, and women empowerment.

Transformation
The result is a brand that feels like The Amaia itself, warm, welcoming, and full of intention. It doesn’t just look good on paper. It shows up in every guest touchpoint, from hand-stitched welcome kits to in-room menus and signage. Just like the stay. It's a brand experience that feels held, rooted, and deeply human.

Conclusion
Honestly, this one meant a lot. From the first call, it was clear The Amaia wasn’t just a “business”—it was something personal, something sacred. The founder spoke with so much heart about her culture, her land, the women she wanted to uplift, and I just knew I had to treat it with care. There were nights I’d be staring at patterns for hours, just trying to get it right. Not because anyone asked, but because I felt how much this mattered. And when we finally saw it all come together? That was one of those quiet, proudest moments. The kind that reminds you why you do this work.
